ACCESSIBLE TOURS

Wheelchair Accessible Tours (WAVs)

Scotland has an array of attractions and hidden gems that can be accessed by  people with physical, visual or hearing impairments.

I design and deliver accessible tours of Scotland, visiting incredible attractions and fascinating historical sites equipped with disability facilities.  My tours are delivered verbally in English.

When it comes  to planning your tour itinerary it’s crucial I understand your needs as everyone has different requirements.  These details will be discussed in advance enabling me to create a unique travel programme accessible to you.

Your comfort is my priority. As an accredited driver guide I guarantee a smooth and comfortable driving experience. I have access to the latest model of vehicles that offer wheelchair space, audio enhancements, air conditioning and heating.

There’s a good variety of accommodations in Scotland offering accessible and ground floor rooms, and hotels with elevators.

Many key visitor attractions including castles, distilleries and battlefields are accessible to all visitors with some adaptations, be they level access, ramps, lifts/elevators, hearing loops, visual aids or special opening hours. It’s good to note that a number of attractions are, by their very nature, historic and in some cases it’s difficult to make adaptations to historic fabric or building materials.

If you’re particularly keen to visit somewhere that is less accessible, I will explain the restrictions in advance, and offer alternative recommendations. This way the final decision rests with you as to whether to include the visit in your tour or not.

My commitment to you is creating an extraordinary tour, one to be remembered forever.

Rest assured you’re in good hands.
